I have had notifications disabled (and Substack made up a second BDBinc

https://substack.com/@bdbinc621820) .

Its in the name. In the stack the narratives of exposure get buried in the stack , while the algorithm generated stacks and narratives remain "promoted".

I received an email and notification about being tagged in the note but nothing about the post.

Thank you for letting me know! I appreciate it!

Ohhhhhh kay.....now I get it. I get notices all the time that people subscribe to my free Substack, but when I go look at my subscriber numbers, they either don't change or go down. F*#@ery at its worst. When I started writing on here in 2022, I kind of figured this would happen. It was just a matter of time....

It's been apparent in little things. I was an early subscriber to the Free Press, but after about 6 months as I kept reading the articles I realized they were going further and further in a direction that didn't interest me. There was on really only one voice being heard, and it was decidedly Jewish .... as if there weren't other writers, NOT Jewish, that were worthy of showcasing. Nellie and her nasty, acerbic so-called sense of humor finally drove the final nail in. I unsubscribed. Now I look where Bari is and I think yep, this was the whole point. And then when I look at the top writers: there were some writers that I followed that wrote stories that were beautiful, which I can't even find anymore . The top accounts have changed from being actual writers to left-wing TDS infected screamers who just basically say the same thing every single day.. "Letters from an American"....Robert Reich..... If I wanted that, I'd subscribe to the New York Times. Anyway, "gliches", vile grossness showing up in my feed, disappearing subscribers, "top" writers with pay-only accounts and hundreds of thousands of "subscribers"... I think not.

I will just mind my little ole business and keep writing posts - and leave the rest in God's hands. However, it is obvious - Substack is fully captured.

Something happened where certain voices are getting trampled or are remaining unexposed while others are getting lauded. I'm unsure where the lines are being drawn. It's likely along a cross-section of different types of talking points and along certain nexus points of content as well. Anything outside the accepted Overton window of viewpoints one is "allowed" to hold, regardless of flavor, is likely to be what is getting trounced. That tends to be what happens on other platforms, so if I had to form a hypothesis, it would be that. The arguments are only allowed to cover certain topics in certain ways and anything outside of that set point is considered to be either "dangerous" to the protection of certain interests or not useful in terms of corralling the public into a handful of manageable ideological silos.

After reading this Scroll. I have absolutely no doubt that Substack is literally a place for otherwise influential people to die.

It’s screaming into a (different) void. 😑

Time to move on.

I would write my own website that’s similar, because if it’s mostly text-based with external media links, I could host it on my own VM here at home -- however, I know what’s coming.

Once they push the Digital ID nonsense, compliance won’t be an option. ISPs will block you if you don’t play by the rules.

We have limited time here people, before we’re going to have to setup our own networks -- literally within our own neighborhoods. Otherwise it’s going to be writing on napkins like old mafia movies.

I know that sounds “conspiratorial” but it’s not.

Immigration is the key to all of this. I’m going to do a post on this soon.

The best way forward is to create our own networks.

Also, just putting it out there, please pardon the personal plug.

I can write something better. Other people I know can too.

What we can’t afford to do is work for free while tech bros control everything with their trust funds and crypto money.

That’s actually how I just spent 2025. We have academic software, some shipped, some mostly done, and no money to launch.

We will not accept vulture investments.

We will not work with tech bros.

If you want better, let’s pool knowledge and resources to do it together.

I’m not greedy or fancy. I’m facing eviction.

I do follow complaints and document what I find/hate. When I can act on it, I see great opportunity for improvement. Mostly just because I actually care and am not oriented toward (Ferengi voice) profit.

Ps: BarterBoard (for mutual aid) is free, open source, and being tested and polished by me now for release. I was had-to-be-medically-hydrated sick this week and had to take a few days off, but feeling a little better now. 💕

Recieved. I had to scroooooooooooll a loooooooong way to get to the bar to hit 'Like' and leave a comment. And when I touched the heart it turned red, but only briefly. I hope de-liking doesn't affect the algorithm, but it probably does. I imagine that toggling 'Like' on and off does not help.

I’ve had the heart thing happen lately, repeatedly (not just one writer, several in a feed in a row).

Thanks for the mention in the note. It’s been a minute!

I remember this fiasco. Another weird thing that happened around that time was that my dashboard doubled all of my subscriber and follower counts, and added a false “paid” sub. It made my post view counts also double. It went away after a day or so.

I am touring the subscriptions I am on and clearing out alot of them - abandoned, etc. next waive is to look at the content and trim it out.

I found that there are stacks that are posting that are not ever fed to my subscriptions page, and these are recent posts. I am going to do some digging. I only use the app.

Merry belated Christmas Demi and many blessings for the New Year. I just saw this in my feed tonight. I have not been seeing you here, but then I have been taking much longer breaks from the social feeds. Thank you for staying on this. I hope there can be a dialogue with Substack staff at some point. I gave up. There's no keeping up with the control. I never received a tag for this btw :(. Thank you for all you have been doing to help. You have been very supportive and kind. Sending you much love. ox

Something else.. I don't seem to get replies to my comments or certain posts either.. had a email notification for a reply by Syd and did not get it on the app.. he thought I might be hacked. So if you do not hear from me again..

I don't understand why subscription requires an email address by Substack.

I just want to check my inbox on here generally. Or on any platform that has an app. I have too many emails 📧 I think everyone does surely ?

I make some exceptions obvs 😉

I'd like to find out how to share a photo in a comment or a link to another substack article. Or tag anyone... Sometime I can sometimes i cant. Its a mystery ..

Received! I turn off my emails because I was getting way too many emails from Substack. Plus I kinda like being surprised scrolling through my app inbox to see what’s new. And I have a few subscribers but I rarely send out an actual email with what I post, and I don’t keep track of the numbers or open rates or whatever other stats Substack gives. I just post shit cause iont to when iont to and figure it’ll get where it needs to go at some point directly or other. However I am sure it is frustrating for the peeps who actually write for an audience and are at least trying to bring in some slabs of bacon with it.
