Thank you Demi! Your uplifting and supportive attitude toward others is so refreshing! I’ve found it to be very rare in a world riddled with fearful competitive behavior. Your light really does shine through and touch those places in my heart that had been wounded by such behavior in the past. The energy of this is contagious in the best way!
I love doing these lists each week because I get to read so much great work but also because it serves as a means for other authors to find each other on Notes and for my readers who aren't on Notes to find what I felt were important, uplifting, amusing, insightful, etc. reads.
You'll see that the majority of people on Notes are extremely helpful and supportive. We're not censored, there is open discourse, and we've managed to carve out our own little space within an otherwise hostile internet.
When people came in here trying to bring censorship, we all told them no together, the founders stuck by us, using their TOS to decide if a publication was in alignment or not (the rule is simple: no violence), and no additional crack down on speech or change in policy was made.
The people trying to force what amounts to a hostile ideological takeover ended up rage-quitting the space.
And the rest of us are still here, happily chugging along and doing our thing. ❤️
