Notes On Literal Drug Commercial, Project Looking Glass, Grand Canyon Disappearances, AI 2027, Boos Come From The Cheap Seats, Talking Vaginas, Taun Taun Epstein, Why We Never Improve, and more....
Such an honor to be mentioned by you. While reading through more than I was expecting, it dawned upon me that the Addictionary was missing an entry at the first letter - "A".
"Anal Fa Bet" - A wager that "You can't do this shit." Derived from "Cosi Fan Tutti".
This week in Substack pingpocalypse news, I was in receipt of an email notification that I was tagged in this week's The Scroll but no post of mine was included within. I was also in receipt of a notif upon opening Substack in the web interface version. So, it seems, to me, that the pingpocalypse may be all done, the errors may have been remediated, and whether what we now experience seems normal, well, that's probably a personal problem, i'n' it? What is normal anyway?
I must admit, this project of yours always awes me, Demi. I can barely keep track of what I posted last week, and it's not like I'm a social butterfly cranking out seventy notes a day for the pleasure of my reading audience. It's a massive yield day for me if I post five 😂
Yet here you are, compiling dozens of notes, replies, videos, articles, podcasts, essays, and even a smattering of fiction from months ago every single week. I can multitask, I can split my attention, I can get huge amounts of work done in a day between Substack and the real world, but what you do here is the sort of thing that would make my head spin. It's a ton of work, and you knock it out every week, and that's in spite of recent "improvements" so-called to Substack's functionality. Hours upon hours, days upon days, every single week, reaching back to posts and events a lot of us probably forgot about just to keep conversations going and, in the case of the memes, give us that humorous hit. It's impressive. Most impressive.
(Substack doesn't let us put images in comments on posts, so just pretend I put a gif of Darth Vader saying that to Luke while they were dueling in Cloud City in here.)
Thank you so much! I'm honored! It's something I love to do - I find it entertaining, and I like to provide a way for y'all to find each other through the round up each week, so I'm glad to have found a way to keep it going! 🙏🏻💜💫
