I have enjoyed many Hemingway books, including his novels. But it seemed odd, to me, to take advice about resilience from a man who used both barrels of a shotgun to end his own life, so I read the overview biography here on the interwebz. Being hounded through the 1950s by the fbi and then going through electro convulsive therapy at the Mayo clinic seems to have done him in. Gnarly stuff.
My reaction to seeing George Bernard Shaw being arrogant about his views of how few people think or even imagine themselves to be thinking was very negative. George was a Fabian socialist, whose headquarters in England he helped design with a stained glass window featuring a wolf in sheep's clothing smashing a hammer into the world to force it to change. "A rather nasty fellow" as they would say in the kinds of English boarding schools he presumably was afflicted with in his youth. I think he dramatically underestimates the thinking population, since the vaxxajabs didn't reach perhaps 30% of the population worldwide. G. Edward Griffin discusses Shaw and others in his book _The Creature from Jekyll Island_ which is a worthwhile project for reading if one has time. The very same scum that sent the RMS Titanic to its watery grave with the opponents of the Feral Reserveless system and income tax in 1912 were also the scum who got the world into ww1 in 1914, and were the scum who were looking for ways to gain more control and power all through the post-world war 2 era, so they could protect themselves from the consequences of people discovering what a bunch of wicked evil war profiteers they are. So, yes, as a result of their work, they did begin announcing in 1970 that they thought all mankind should submit to enslavement and genocide over "climate change" and pollution, resource scarcity, and rioting. What the wealthy and powerful filth who sacrifice their children to Moloch and other demons really want is not to encounter us masses, not see us on the beaches, never see us at the airports, never have to encounter us on a tour of some vast nationalist socialist park. They want us dead because we clutter the landscape as seen from their villas. Which is, perhaps, fair, given how a great many Americans want them.
That big tall dark presence at the ceremonies for the London Olympics in 2012 had an ugly grimace on its face, a long white wand in its hand, and loomed over an effigy of a page of hearts that had the face of Boris Johnson sticking up through a large hospital bed while a tiny figure in a tiny hospital bed dangled from the marionette strings surrounding the head of the tall dark presence. It is way up there on the creepy crap purveyed by contemporary performance artists, and right along with the dancing nurses and dancing doctors, signifies the end of the "medical" profession's oath to first do no harm. But there's good news, folks! If we get through to the end of 7th month this year there will be Summer Olympics once again, and in PARIS! Think of the Paris Hilton jokes now, why don'tcha?
The meme with Morpheus asking Neo if he had just taken both pills stimulated the idea of Hunter S. Thompson writing another book, "Fear and Loathing in the Matrix." He did try to warn us, you know.
