MEME DROP #81: The Urge To Disappear Into The Forest And Become Local Folklore
“The urge to disappear into the forest and become local folklore……”

Nemophilia is an interesting word, because it comes apart as "nemo" or "nobody" and "philia" or love of. In other words, "love of solitude." But, Greek is tricky about "nemo" because it can also mean "everybody" or in another sense, "nobody in particular."
You may have encountered a literary "nemo" such as the name Odysseus called himself to the cyclops Polyphemus; the captain of the good anti-war ship Nautilus in Jules Verne's _20,000 Leagues Under the Sea_; or that idiotic fish in the disney-animation film.
