A friend of mine had a very bad mushroom experience and thought he was Odin. He said he felt like he went to hell. While on it he experienced evil and expressed to me it’s reality. this obviously wasn’t his first rodeo.
I want to head and enlightning bliss on that stuff. 🍄
I think, for a lot of people, they bring to it whatever headspace they are already in, and whatever that is, it serves to amplify and distort it. Depending upon who you are and how you show up to the experience, that can either be therapeutic or catastrophic.
After years of taking it without incident, he suddenly stopped following that bad experience. He called me in the middle of the night to tell me he was dying. I drove him to the hospital, and we sat outside the hospital, waiting until dawn when the effects wore off. (He was afraid of getting busted, so we didn't go inside). It helps to be in the right frame of mind, and the environment around you is essential for a more positive experience. I have much respect for mushrooms.

That's terrifying. I don't blame him for stopping after that.
