The sea-level one reminds me of an article I read in the San Francisco Chronicle back in the early 2000s. It was a major story in this issue and discussed how San Francisco would have to rebuild the wharf and all the shoreline around San Francisco and the bay area to prevent the rising ocean level. It was a big piece with msny illustrations, driving in the fear that if the shore wasn't fortified soon San Francisco would turn into an American Venice.. After reading it I wanted to move because we just live the short drive down the coastline. Today, twenty years later - one big nothing burger! It will hasn’t even been started to be built around San Francisco. And the sea level hasn’t arisen 1 inch. Nothing but a bunch of propaganda and fear back then used to move peoples opinion on climate change.

I sometimes wonder if there is some sort of correlation between people who have experienced abusive relationships and scepticism towards the propaganda/nudging going on?

Anecdotally I’ve noticed the people who trusted the media, followed the “recommendations” and vigorously encouraged others to follow the science were generally people who were either innocent of ever being manipulated in the past or were enablers. I also wonder if this means the time it takes an individual to recover from an abusive relationship is indicative of the recovery process for society? What are your thoughts?
