If I had a dollar for every person who owed me an apology for saying terrible things about me when I was correct about something since roughly 1973, I would have on the very close order of $8,273,404.

One of the things that remains puzzling to me is the view that "These people in the world are not capable of governing themselves, therefore they must be governed, by people who don't know how to govern themselves." I think there's a step missing in there.

These memes refilled my emotional tank a little bit. I will admit it though. I never learned how to conform and I always cause trouble, even when I being generous.

Just to be the annoying guy one more time, you used to be able to provide with a full-time job, for your family. Now you have to either be a sociopath, kind of lucky, or go out in the woods.

Edit: I was once a senior book editor, not for a big company. But I was living at my mom's house, paying off college loans, and never once felt like I was even beginning to be a provider. It's tough.

Yes! And that is how they are able to enslave us.. the rat race! Greedy capitalism run by a few insane individuals hiding behind industry/ conglomerates.

It has become a meatgrinder for The People.

Keep'em poor, keep'em busy and keep'em sick!!!

Yeah, keep ‘em working hard, and pay ‘em less, every year, while pretending to pay them more.

And then everyone can talk about how much a loser every man is who can’t afford to have a family, and then he can be completely destroyed, lol. Gimme another meme.

Naw!!! Don't!!! 😂

Imagine a life from wich you don't need a vacation from!! :))

Again and again, ask the big kahuna for it.

There is a way out!

And that will be the solution to stop this madness. Each one of us and together in our communities.

They have us believe that we are powerless.

But in reality, what are they without us?

We are the power, we need to remember that start working together... again.. as We The People.

That’s beautiful, thank you. It can be fun to be a doomer, in a weird way, and we always have the power.

Yes... we just have to be careful to not enjoy the dooming too much lol

I believe that we are already at a point at wich we accept too many unacceptable things.

Have we accepted our own doom?

The frog in hot water comes to mind...

Staring into the abyss too long?

Gotten used to the slow but ever progressing abuse, exploitation and demoralization??

Grown to expect it, which is an interesting term to use for a comment on Demi's post. (Expectation Engine.) Yeah, wow, accepting our own doom. That hits home.

A lot less power for politics/ government for sure.

Globalization and capitalism are the true detriment for our nation.

Localized, oversightly, community based or state based through community...

industry will have to be put in it's place again, lobbying needs to be banned.

The involvement in foreign affairs and wars need to stop.

We need to clean up our own backyard first.

We are bankrupt, we do not have any money to give away!

The mismanagement needs to be clearly shown and the perpetrators held responsible.

Corruption of constitution and cultural identity needs to stop.

Independence needs to be regained. Our industry needs rebuilding, we cannot be financially dependent on anybody but ourselves. Selling out to china, russia and others has become a detriement.

Follow the money.

It's the rootcause of all this evil.

Back to basics.

We deserve better.

We are not slaves, greedy exploitation of people and environment need to be eradicated.

Yeah, I would agree. The only thing is, I don’t believe anyone’s selling out to anything. I could be wrong, but to me, China and the US are the same thing, with different local rules. Same people in the background, telling them what to Do.

Yes.. that's how it started.. now it's a few insane rich people hiding behind industry/ conglomerates... gone insane with greed.

Expand full comment
Matthew Haviland's avatar

Well, I think it still started with a bunch of people saying, “Put your lives in our hands.” Better people, maybe, but maybe that was the test, and we failed.

Yes. And that is what needs to change.

We the people have to realize that we are the power. What are they without us?

Our choices, this just going along with everything, this resignation, this inertia needs to stop.

Why do we accept completely unacceptable characters for presidency?

One is a psychopath/ criminal/ racist/ rapist/ thief and felon the other cannot seemingly walk or talk cohesively!?!!!!

They represent us worldwide and make ddcision for our children...

Unacceptable.

The government needs to see what The People experiencing and think.

The problem is that these candidates are so far removed from a normal everyday existence, they have no clue what it's like for us anymore.

They also seem to have forgotten that they work for us, not the other way around.

This arrogance and ignorance on top of the greed is the problem.

They are not being held accountable anymore. Lobbyists and seemingly no checks and balances show that.

The highest bidder seems to win... all around.

The unacceptable candidates for presidency reflect that too.

And all the anti- american decisions that are being made.

It would be nice if that were the case, but I can pretty certainly tell you they’re working just fine, for what they’re doing. It’s not about the people, lol.

Memes about memes are some of my favorites… especially that last one. I feel kinda like I should visit the “library” , get digging, and pay you back a meme for that one.

IF it were at all possible that I have THE ONE you don’t.

I wouldn't even include the "I have done a lot of things" on the resume. Why is that information required?
