Note: You can draw power not only from ancestors but also from descendants and friends both past and future. The construct of time inhibits our understanding but doesn't inhibit our power. We are connected (through, as I conceive it, a kind of dimensional doorway) to God, to the Creator of all reality. We connect to God who is outside of time, outside of the chronological constraints we (weakly) impose on reality by imagining a linear and directed acyclic graphical nature of time.
But God, the Creator, and the creation is outside of time and so are we. You may experience a perceptible change in the flow of time when some danger activates you body and soul. Time seems to pass slowly, like a series of still frames. Scientists ascribe this to adrenaline. And that's a part of it. But it has a spiritual aspect as well.
When you draw power through your connexion to God you have the power to change anything. Be of good cheer, for God loves you. Amen.
