I've followed geomagnetic storms since I first leaned about the Carrington Event in 2017. We've had some major activity recently and expected more but as you've said...we could still get a big event that shuts down power grids.
Last Spring(ish) the Schumann Resonance turned off for a couple of days. Magnetic north is migrating across the Arctic from northern Canada to Siberia . Declination decreasing. Interesting times ahead.
