My friend Bernard writes occasional essays from Indonesia on his 'stack at Radio Far Side. He and I met in Texas under revolutionary conditions at the end of the last millennium. Graham Hancock has also written and spoken extensively on this topic. In his essay, Bernard identifies it as a candidate for the building of the tower with its top in the sky (or as some translate, with the stars on its top) referenced in Genesis 11 as the Tower of Babel.
That particular story is of interest in your discussion, I believe, because it suggests that there was a time when all human languages were one language, or one might say that all people spoke the same language. There is in fact a neuro-linguistic pattern of language drift so that people develop dialects and jargon that become sufficiently distinct that people who live far away from them cannot understand them. In his break-through bestselling novel _Snowcrash_ author Neal Stephenson advances the theory that there is a kind of neuro-linguistic code that may be passed from mother to child through milk or by other means from person to person which causes this confusion of tongues. In the novel he imagines a piece of code "the nam-shub of Enki" which reverses the effect and allows people to speak in the "natural language" which is understood across many cultures. He also advances the theory that what the Apostles were doing when the Holy Spirit descended upon them and they began speaking in tongues was speaking in this ancient language. They were understood by many visitors from remote parts of the Roman empire who only thought they were hearing their own languages.
In America today there are evangelicals who have the Holy Spirit. When they baptise in water they also baptise with the Holy Spirit, as described in the Book of Acts. When a person is first baptised with the Holy Spirit they immediately begin speaking in tongues. I know that I did so. I also stopped after one brief syllable because of aspects of my nature that are to be understood later. You may visit certain evangelical churches, especially rural churches, to find entire crowds of worshippers speaking in tongues.
There is also a divine tongue. I've only heard it once in recent years. It is exceedingly beautiful. It is also known as the angelic tongue or language of angels. It is traditionally spoken of with phrases like "spoken throughout the universe before time was time."
We have a limited understanding of consciousness, I believe, and which topic I discuss in my own essay on the topic. https://l5news.substack.com/p/consciousness I don't favour the mechanisticism or mechanical mysticism that purports to "establish" that consciousness is contained in the nervous system and that it is all somehow inside the body. I believe there is considerable evidence that our minds are part of our souls and that our souls are not entirely present within our bodies. Instead, I take the view that our souls are mostly in the heavenly realm and that a soul communicates with a body through a sort of dimension doorway. In a sense, our bodies, including our nervous tissue and especially certain key glands throughout the body such as the pineal gland, the pituitary gland, and organs such as the heart and pancreas, have roles in the information exchange between our souls in nearby dimensions and our bodies in the space-time we think of as our earthly realm.
There is yet another topic that may be of significance in this discussion, which is the Akashic records. The idea that all knowledge, including significant knowledge about the past which is no longer available to us in our earthly records, and also knowledge about the future, is available in the heavenly realm. God, of course, has complete access. The rest of us have at least some access. Which might account for some things that people simply show up "knowing" without having gone through the struggle of having been taught. You give several accounts of such persons speaking many languages, being able to translate into a new example language with little or no study, being able to understand a language never before heard by that person.
In the film "Rain Man," the title character is able to count a spilt box of toothpicks, keep track of dozens of playing cards, and perform other feats of mathematical genius, even though he is otherwise a high-functioning autistic. The filmmakers seem to conflate the "idiot savant" concepts with autism, but it makes an interesting film.
These topics are quite near to a set of topics that John W. Campbell, the editor of _Analogue_ magazine of science fiction and frequently included in his choice of "science fact" article something about psi abilities or astro-meteorology. The ability to tap into the Akashic records to know a foreign language is an intriguing psychic ability. The ability to know the future, so-called precognition (see the film "Minority Report" for a thrilling story about it), might also relate to a connexion to the heavenly realm. Similarly, "remote viewing" which we used to call "clairvoyance" might involve an ability to gather knowledge about things that are happening far away from the viewer (in space or in time or in both). Clairvoyance comes from the French words for clarity and viewing or seeing, so "to see clearly."
These comments may seem to be rambling, and of a variety of ancillary matters. However, our understanding of consciousness, of space-time, and of the nature of reality is limited. The most knowledgeable of our quantum physicists are aware of how little we really know about "what reality really is." God knoweth.
In the book of the Acts of the Apostles in the Holy Bible, Jesus is in heaven ten days when He sends down the Holy Spirit. The Apostles have come together of one accord. Immediately they appear crowned as with tongues of fire and begin speaking in tongues. They are understood by persons from all over the Roman empire who are amazed to hear their own languages spoken in Jerusalem.

Certainly could be! It makes me curious if Dolores Cannon has ever put any aligists or xenoglossers under to see if their past lives align with the languages they know. They could have retained them or they could have been granted those languages within their imprints or overlays when they came down. Mostly, I'm wondering if maybe these people have greater access to the collective unconscious, source consciousness, or the Akashic records... or some other metaphor for accessing shared consciousness.
It would be definitely interesting to find the responses of those hypnotized. So intriguing.
My husband is a music aligist so to speak. He has always understood music without ever having a lesson. Experts are always amazed by his knowledge. He can’t explain music theory but it’s just in his brain.
Apparently he had to have brought it with them. And no he has never done one. My brother who has passed away could remember the moment he entered my mothers womb.
