It is striking how much we have lost. Looking at these old paintings, illustrations, and photographs really stirs my imagination. It feels as if great knowledge has been intentionally taken from us. Where did it go? I want it back.
Can't read it now, but just the title has me. I'll read it later. My first impression: "Of the future" is likely too optimistic. It's here and now, and (alas) growing.
