Definitely resonating with the girl spinning the fire at the moment. How is it that I can be "too much" for some people even when I'm holding so much of myself back? So frustrating!

I adore the term fuckface whisperer — formerly known as not suffering fools gladly. Sound advice all around.

Many long years ago, James P. Hogan was the author guest of honour at a science fiction convention hosted by the student science fiction fan group at Mississippi State university in Starkville. I was there as a dealer trading in Star Trek posters and Russian space memorabilia. We met in the green room after I was invited there due to my comprehensive knowledge of space industry anecdotes. Not much later, Jim Hogan released his novel _Paths to Otherwhere_ which I very strongly recommend because it is informed by his personal acquaintance with David Deutsch, one of the leading quantum physicists researching the technological implications of the multi-verse. David, and my very good friend Sarah Lawrence, are mentioned in the dedication of _Paths to Otherwhere_.

I bring all this up because Jim Hogan was one of the most effective writers twenty years ago discussing the topic of the electric universe. He was not only a novelist but also a physicist. He well understood that the complex hoop navigation being undertaken by the "gravity is the only force at a distance" crowd of mainstream physicists has been going down severely narrowing rabbit holes for generations. It had already gotten, at the beginning of this millennium, to the point that over 90% of the matter and over 90% of the energy necessary for the gravity theories to "work" has to be not only invisible to ordinary light but undetectable except by its "gravitational" interactions. The electric universe theories are much more robust and avoid some of the cul de sacs of understanding that have been shown to go nowhere. And you posted a meme about the universe being electric, so there!
