In a world inundated with information, it can be challenging to separate fact from fiction. We are bombarded from all sides by narratives that serve specific agendas rather than the pursuit of objective truth. Powerful institutions leverage media platforms to disseminate propaganda that maintains their authority. Meanwhile, those clinging to outdated worldviews spread misinformation that props up their regressive ideologies. In this climate, truth is often the first casualty.
Seeking truth requires questioning assumptions, thinking critically about the status quo, and having the courage to follow evidence wherever it leads. It means being willing to challenge entrenched dogmas, examine issues from multiple perspectives, and update our understanding based on new information. We must be wary of efforts to manipulate public opinion or stifle inconvenient facts. Real truth takes effort and an open mind.

The quest for truth is a moral obligation we all share. Truth provides the foundation for human progress and enlightened self-governance. Without it, we are like a ship adrift at sea, pushed about by winds of dogma and deceit. We must dedicate ourselves to the diligent pursuit of facts, accountability for disinformation, and empathy for different points of view.
With these premises in mind, the conversation Mathew Crawford and I had on his Rounding the Earth podcast series “RTE Discussions” began with an exploration of my recent article on the phenomenon of sliders, people whose innate energy fields seem to interrupt electronics, and quickly took a deep dive into a wide array of topics within the world of fringe science - and an interwoven thread of scientific ethics across the board.
When we began this discussion, this was not at all where we envisioned we would go. In fact, to say that this conversation ran the fringe science gamut is a massive understatement.

I watched this interview Live, it was fantastic. We need to continue the convo. I'm familiar with the Barbara Brennan School of Healing and have personal knowledge of "high energy" folks who cause electronics to malfunction. I'm so glad Mathew allowed the convo to flow into discussing energy fields and woo wooish stuff. Mathew is not woo woo but he tolerated the commentary, he's a good guy. You were one of his best interviews. Please do another session with Mathew.
