When I realized that I was sliding ever quicker into disability and the incredible losses that entails, I was given a choice. I could be bitter. Or I could recognize I was being stripped down, honed, equipped for purpose. What followed, logically, was gratitude. I am made of light for love. Everything else is immaterial.
