Probably referencing his father. Still weird in retrospect, but maybe not as weird as it seems at first blush.

Wondering if Joseph was ever called "Jack" too. Or if maybe one of his brothers was.

I think it was just supposed to be some random character, which is what made it stand out for me. Not sure, I read only that far and then got too excited.

Those Little Baron Trump books from the 1800s are really weird. In one of them, he ends up in the ancient underground tunnel system and basically meets three different Agarthan societies down there.

Haha, now that I haven’t heard of. That sounds like a bunch of truth, possibly. Love how they just straight-up have clues in the names.

Yes, but this was 1939. So we were wondering if there was some other Jack Kennedy the character had been named for. He would have only been 22 in 1939.

Humanity is the cause and not the solution to all your ills. Live in the world, but do not be a part of it. Joining the crowd means you are living in fear. Only the individual can go his own way.

Good collection, but I suspect the Henry Kissinger one is misleading. I don't generally trust Reuters, but it didn't sound at all like Kissinger to me, so I looked it up: https://www.reuters.com/article/idUSKBN22Y24W/
