Canadian surgeon suspended for standard ethical disclosure
In this audio clip, you can hear Dr. Francis Christian being gaslighted for doing his job: providing informed consent about potential side effects.
The Instagram post below contains audio of a doctor who was suspended for providing informed consent regarding the shot. It’s his job to provide patients with disclosure of potential side effects. And yet, here, we can hear the doctor, who was then suspended, being gaslighted for performing his duty.
On June 23, Dr. Francis Christian, a clinical professor of general surgery at the University of Saskatchewan and a practicing surgeon for 20+ years, was called into a Zoom meeting with other senior members of the University of Saskatchewan faculty and representatives of the Saskatchewan public health authority. In this meeting, he was informed of his immediate suspension and upcoming termination. Dr. Christian recorded the meeting.
Dr. Christian is slated to be removed permanently from his role by September. He also serves as editor of the Journal of The Surgical Humanities.
As usual, none of this adds up. The WHO itself has taken a position similar to Dr. Christian’s: “Children should not be vaccinated for the moment. There is not yet enough evidence on the use of vaccines against COVID-19 in children to make recommendations for children to be vaccinated against COVID-19.” And yet, Dr. Christian is still being removed from his position at University of Saskatchewan.
On June 17, Dr. Christian released a statement to over 200 of his colleagues, expressing concern over lack of informed consent, especially regarding children. (A copy of the PDF of Dr. Christian’s statement is available here.)
