If you’ve bought a tarot reading before, you may not have known which approach your reader was taking. Some readers assume tarot can predict the future, and they try to tell you what’s going to happen to you.
If you’ve paid for predictions before and they never quite came true, I think you’ll get more out of hearing what’s going on in your life now, because that’s something you can act on in a timely manner, altering the trajectory of the outcome you are most likely to experience.
I’ve been reading two documents about decks of cards. The first is a 2016 workbook by a reader named Wen, written for a card reading summit, on using cards for shadow work. One of the shadow work spreads in it, “The Ghost of Yet To Come,” comes with this instruction: “We often let our fears of what has yet to happen disable us. We allow our fears of the future to disempower our present. When you think about the next five years of your life path, what are you most afraid of?” You draw a card and write down what you see in it, so that you’re looking right at the fear, taking the time to define how that fear impacts you and what you can do to change it.
UPCOMING WORKSHOPS:
Shift Your Timeline - Live on Zoom
Dates:
Sunday, November 29, 10AM to 7PM Eastern
Sunday, December 20, 10AM to 7PM Eastern
In this one-day live workshop, the audio guides your body into deep stillness while your mind stays fully awake and alert, opening you into a state of expanded consciousness. Then, we move into a state outside of time. While you’re in that state, you focus on embodying the life you want instead of the one you’re currently headed toward. The idea is that choosing it clearly, in that state, makes it more likely to happen.
Starfire Signals - Live on Zoom
Dates:
Tuesday, November 3, 10 AM to Noon Eastern
Monday, November 30, 8 PM to 10 PM Eastern
Tuesday, December 8, 10 AM to Noon Eastern
Monday, December 28, 8 PM to 10 PM Eastern
In this bimonthly live class, the audio settles your body into deep rest while keeping your mind fully alert, opening the door to expanded consciousness. In that relaxed state, you practice noticing what your intuition is telling you, and writing it down before you second-guess it. Over time, that makes it easier to trust what you’re sensing and helps you to tap into your own guidance on command.
Starfire Spark - Live on Zoom
Dates:
Thursday, November 19, 8:30 PM to 10:30 PM Eastern
Thursday, December 17, 8:30 PM to 10:30 PM Eastern
In this monthly live class, you listen to special audio that helps your body relax deeply while your mind is still wide awake, tapping into expanded consciousness. Then, still on the call, you make something — a timed sprint where you write, play, or create without stopping to judge it. Some meetings, you’ll share one small piece of what you made with the group. Most meetings, you leave with something new that didn’t exist before class started.
The second document is a long article from a Christian prophecy site, from around 2002, about a card game. Steve Jackson Games put out Illuminati: New World Order in 1995 as a “satire,” but some of its cards pictured events years before they happened. For instance, the “Terrorist Nuke” card shows an explosion midway up a skyscraper, six years before the attack on the World Trade Center, and another card shows a blast at the Pentagon.
I think those cards were designed to look “prescient” in order to seem like they were not announcing moves before they happened as a sort of Revelation of the Method tactic, and that’s why people kept going back to the deck to figure out what the playbook might be for the events that are still listed on it that may not have happened yet. The writer of the article reads the cards that way. “This card game reveals the final climactic steps” of a plan, the writer says, and the cards for events that haven’t happened yet “will surely happen.” People took that seriously enough that an article about the game turned up among the documents recovered from Osama bin Laden’s compound, which the U.S. government released in 2015.
So Wen and the “prophecy writer” are both looking at a deck of cards, and they use what they find in opposite directions. Wen uses the cards like a mirror, to help you look straight at a fear you already have. The prophecy writer uses them to look ahead, to read into what is more likely to be the disclosure of a plan enacted upon the whole world over a span of about 100 years.
Channeled messages posts go out to paid subscribers every day. Tarot, shufflemancy, numerology, runes, and meditation applied to the specific energies of the day, delivered directly to your inbox.
I read the way Wen does, in every reading I do. I understand why people want to believe tarot and other types of card sets can predict the future. Knowing what’s coming certainly would make a scary decision feel safer. But none of us has a future that is set in stone. We all have free will and agency over our own choices. What I do is take a snapshot of the current energy, tell you what I see, and help you see the potential of the situation so that you can optimize your choices to support you in what you are currently experiencing. I don’t predict the future, and I don’t interpret playbooks as prophecies. I help you step onto the timeline you want to experience by choosing for your preferences in alignment with the energies that are currently presenting in your life.
When I read for you, you send me three questions. They can be about anything at all - a job, a relationship, a move, a decision you’ve been going back and forth on for months without making a clear cut choice. For each question, I pull tarot and oracle cards. I use shufflemancy, which means I ask the question and let my shuffled music library answer with whatever songs come up, because I often hear in the lyrics what I’m seeing in the cards. I use numerology, and I pull runes, which are an old Norse alphabet where each letter has a divinatory meaning.
Then I write out what I see for each question, without softening it and without lecturing you, and you’ll have your written report within three business days.
Your decisions are your own. Looking at the energies as they stand simply helps you to know what is there, so that you can better optimize your response to those energies. That’s what I mean by reading tarot as a mirror.
If you want to learn how to read tarot for yourself, you can use the same approach with any deck, including your own. When a card comes up, ask yourself two questions, in this order: First, “What’s this card showing me that’s already true?” Then, only if the first question has an answer, “What’s the card pointing toward?” I think a lot of people skip that first question, and that may be why the answer to the second one so often doesn’t quite land the way it should.
If you’ve been paying for readers who say tarot can predict the future, I read the cards as a mirror instead, and I write out what I see for you so you can decide what you want to do within an actionable time frame.
There is a special on readings this week. This week’s price is $50. The regular price is $144.

I've seen some old books, comic book style, showing the Trade Center falling too. Along with some other references in shows/movies. It was definitely planned.
